## Commentary

Augustus William, Duke of Brunswick-Bevern \(1715-1781\) was a colonel in the Prussian army. The print shows the sitter half length in an oval, wearing wig, armour and cloak over his right shoulder; coat of arms below. The print was executed after a painting by Thomas Huber.\( 1700-1779\).
