# The Judgment of Solomon [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [RAFFAELLO Sanzio]() - Date: 1501-1550 - Technique: Silverpoint on green ground, 100 x 137 mm ## Commentary Half a dozen drawings connected to the Massacre of the Innocents have come down to us. Raphael starting point for the design was his discarded early idea for the Judgment of Solomon in the vault of the Stanza della Segnatura, preserved in the present drawing.
