Renunciation of Wordly Goods 1325-28 Fresco, 280 x 450 cm Bardi Chapel, Santa Croce, Florence This scene is situated in the lunette of the wall left to the entrance of the chapel. The clearly articulated palace building is set obliquely within the field of the lunette. This creates great tension, appropriate to the confrontation between St. Francis and his infuriated father.
