## Commentary

Madonna Adoring the Christ Child c. 1490 Oil on panel, 68 x 46 cm Private collection Formerly this painting was attributed to Bartolomeo Montagna who was the teacher of Pietro da Vicenza. The composition of the panel reflects the influence of Montagna, who, in turn, was influenced by Giovanni Bellini and Antonello da Messina.
