## Commentary

The Ecstasy of the Magdalene c. 1625 Oil on canvas, 139 x 158 cm Private collection This work is an autograph variant of the painting in the church of Saint Eustache in Paris which originally hung in the church of San Luigi dei Francesi in Rome. Another variant is in the Pitti Palace in Florence.
