# Portrait of Anne Blair Maconochie Welwood of Garvock [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [RAEBURN, Sir Henry]() - Date: 1751-1800 - Technique: Oil on canvas, 78 x 65 cm ## Commentary This portrait represents Anne Blair Maconochie Welwood, Lady Meadowbank \(1784-1866\), the daughter of Robert Blair, a judge and advocate from West Lothian. In 1805 she married Alexander Maconochie Welwood, second Lord Meadowbank \(1777-1861\), who also sat for Raeburn, in 1816. His portrait and the present work were undoubtedly treated as a pair.
