## Commentary

The equestrian state is on the &lt;a onclick=&#34;return OpenOther\(&#39;/html/a/amadeo/bergamo/interio1.html&#39;\)&#34; href=&#34;/html/a/amadeo/bergamo/interio1.html&#34;&gt;funerary monument of Bartolomeo Colleoni&lt;/a&gt; by Giovanni Antonio Amadeo. Bartolomeo Colleoni \(1400-1475\) was an Italian condottiero, who became captain-general of the Republic of Venice.
