# Interior of the church [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [FRANCESCO DI GIORGIO MARTINI]() - Date: 1451-1500 - Technique: Photo ## Commentary The plan of the church is a Latin cross whose nave has three bays of diminishing depth to increase the apparent length of the church as seen from the entrance. All four ends of the cross are flat, the entablature runs unbroken around the church, and the plain white plaster walls and barrel vaults suggest a space larger than the one they actually close.
