## Commentary

Pierre-Denis Martin \(Martin le Jeune\) was a French painter who is generally assumed, without evidence, to have been Jean-Baptiste Martin&#39;s nephew. He was also a pupil of Adam Frans van der Meulen, and he collaborated with Jean-Baptiste.
