# Florence Triumphant over Pisa [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [GIAMBOLOGNA]() - Date: 1551-1600 - Technique: Marble, height 262 cm ## Commentary This group was commissioned from Giambologna for the <a onclick="return OpenOther\('/html/v/vasari/2/08vecchi.html'\)" href="/html/v/vasari/2/08vecchi.html">Sala del Cinquecento</a> \(the Great Council Hall\) of the Palazzo Vecchio.
