## Commentary

This view shows the Kloveniersburgwal and the tower called &#39;Swijgh Utrecht&#39;. Kloveniersburgwal is an Amsterdam canal flowing south from Nieuwmarkt to the Amstel River on the edge of the medieval city. The Swijgh Utrecht was completely destroyed in 1882.
