## Commentary

In 1519 Lorenzetto was designated in the will of Agostino Chigi to execute sculptures in the Chigi Chapel in Santa Maria del Popolo, Rome. The figures of Elijah and Jonah, as well as the relief of Christ and the Woman Taken in Adultery on the chapel&#39;s altar, appear to have been based on designs by Raphael yet are rather weak in execution.
