# Saint Cecilia Altarpiece [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [MASTER of Saint Cecilia]() - Date: 1301-1350 - Technique: Tempera on wood, 85 x 181 cm ## Commentary Saint Cecilia Altarpiece c. 1304 Tempera on wood, 85 x 181 cm Galleria degli Uffizi, Florence This altar frontal, from the church of Santa Cecilia, is today generally dated shortly after 1304; it is the work of an anonymous master who may have worked with Giotto at Assisi. However, he was influenced mainly by the Sienese masters of the late 13th century.
