# Anemones [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [LUCHIAN, Stefan]() - Date: 1851-1900 - Technique: Oil on canvas, 43 x 43 cm ## Commentary ªtefan Luchian studied in Bucharest and Munich before going to the Académie Julian in Paris \(1890-92\). In Paris he absorbed the influence of Impressionism and Post-Impressionism. He then returned home, where he co-founded an independent art show in 1896 and, in 1902, the Artistic Youth association.
