## Commentary

The architects Pietro Passalacqua and DomenicoGregorini attempted in their plans for Santa Croce in Gerusalemme to combine the lightness of the so-called &#39;barocchetto romano&#39;, recently demonstrated in Santa Maria Maddalena, with the monumental language of San Giovanni in Laterano. The picture shows the façade of the church.
