# Atalanta [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [KELLER, Heinrich]() - Date: 1801-1850 - Technique: Marble, 175 x 130 cm ## Commentary Heinrich Keller was a talented Swiss sculptor who in Rome bridged the gap between the art of Alexander Trippel and Thorvaldsen, whose Jason with the Golden Fleece bears some slight resemblance to Keller's work. Heinrich Keller grew up in a cultured home and had an early success as a classical scholar. It was perhaps this that first drew him to Asmus Jacob Carstens's circle when he came to Rome in 1794.
