## Commentary

The Sacrifice of Isaac - Oil on canvas, 204 x 268 cm The Hermitage, St. Petersburg This oval ceiling painting is a variant of the composition in Palazzo Salvioni, Venice. It is one of the few Pagani paintings whose authorship is indisputable. However, in the 128th cntury it was believed to be a work by Sebastiano Ricci.
