# "Choisy" Flower Basin [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [UNKNOWN POTTER, French]() - Date: 1751-1800 - Technique: Soft-paste porcelain, 14 x 27 cm ## Commentary This basin for holding cut flowers is adorned with a "tesnière", that is, a scene painted in the manner of the works by the Flemish painter David Teniers the Younger. These "tesnières" were much in vogue at the Sèvres factory between 1758 and 1764.
