## Commentary

The painting depicts an italianate park landscape with elegant figures strolling, an elegant couple on horses, children playing with dogs, all near a fountain, together with a horse-drawn carriage halting before a castle. It is one of the few park landscapes which Storck, a marine painter, executed. The painting is signed and dated lower right: A: Storck. Fecit./Ao. 1687
