## Commentary

This scene is on the wall of the room with simulated Gothic architecture in the Foresteria of the Villa Valmarana. It shows an elegant young girl, sumptuously dressed in the latest fashion, being courted by a dashing young gentleman, behind them an expansive landscape extends back to the distant hills.
