# Carondelet Diptych \(left wing\) [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [GOSSART, Jan]() - Date: 1501-1550 - Technique: Oil on panel, 43 x 27 cm ## Commentary The left wing of the diptych represents Jean Carondelet. The donor portrait is superior to the other wing, both in truth of life and in pictorial quality; it is, moreover, in a better state of preservation.
