## Commentary

Derand added a façade to the building begun by Étienne Martellange in 1627. The Gothic feeling for height survives in the proportions of Martellange&#39;s interior, this forced Derand, the architect of the façade to adopt the three-storey type. The photo shows the façade of the church.
