# Head of a Bearded Man [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [SOLARIO, Andrea]() - Date: 1501-1550 - Technique: Black, red, and yellow chalk on brownish paper, 374 x 273 mm ## Commentary This damaged but imposing study has been connected with the standing apostle at the far right in the painter's Assumption of the Virgin in the Sacrestia Nuova of the Certosa at Pavia.
