# Annunciation [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [GIOVANNI DI BALDUCCIO]() - Date: 1301-1350 - Technique: Marble ## Commentary Giovanni di Balduccio was an Italian sculptor from Pisa. The picture shows a detail from the marble pulpit which was executed before 1334 when the artist went to Lombardy, invited by Azzone Visconti.
