# Large Square Sèvres Flower Tub [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [UNKNOWN POTTER, French]() - Date: 1751-1800 - Technique: Porcelain, height 57 cm \(overall\), 20 cm \(tub\) ## Commentary The flower tub \(caisse à fleurs\) was painted by Denis Levé, of tapering square section, each side painted with colourful flowers and fruit bouquets, the corners with interlacing flower swags, filled with porcelain-headed green metal flowers. The present jardinière is the only one recorded of this form without handles.
