## Commentary

Evidently, this painting is derived from the famous &lt;A onclick=&#34;return OpenOther\(&#39;/html/g/gentile/adormagi/adormag.html&#39;\)&#34; HREF=&#34;/html/g/gentile/adormagi/adormag.html&#34;&gt;Adoration of the Magi by Gentile de Fabriano.&lt;/A&gt; The robes of the figures were modernised corresponding to the taste of the 1470s.
