# Synaxis of All Saints [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [UNKNOWN ICON PAINTER, Russian]() - Date: 1601-1650 - Technique: Tempera and gold leaf on linen and wood, 23 x 22 cm ## Commentary This icon, inspired by representations of the Last Judgment, is in fact an iconographic illustration of the feast of All Saints, which the Byzantine Church celebrates on the first Sunday after Pentecost.
