# Girl with Folded Hands [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [TRÜBNER, Wilhelm]() - Date: 1851-1900 - Technique: Oil on canvas, 92 x 60 cm ## Commentary Wilhelm Trübner was among the most sensitive yet strong artists of the later nineteenth century. He learned a great deal from French developments. Manet, whose paintings Trübner saw at Munich's International Exhibition of 1869, first liberated the German painter's art.
