## Commentary

Holy Bishop c. 1500 Tempera on canvas transferred from wood, 71 x 44 cm Szépmûvészeti Múzeum, Budapest The painting is one of the eight panels of an altarpiece by the Budapest Master: The Betrayal of Christ, The Crucifixion, the Lamentation and two Holy Bishops in Budapest, the Annunciation, the Last Supper and Ascencion in different private collections. This panel gives the impression of an enlarged version of a miniature from a Franco-Flemish Book of Hours.
