## Commentary

Giovanni Angelo d&#39;Antonio was an Italian painter from Camerino who worked in association with Girolamo di Giovanni da Camerino \(active ca. 1449-1473\). This painting was commissioned by Giulio Cesare da Varano, whose portrait is included in the panel.
