## Commentary

The painting represents an Egyptian Pony, &#39;Whisperer&#39; with two Irish Terriers and a goat in a landscape by a stream in an Irish landscape. The influence of Benjamin Marshall, the teacher of the artist, is apparent in the present painting. It is signed and dated 1809.
