# Model of the \`Zum Tanz" house \(reconstruction\) [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [HOLBEIN, Hans the Younger]() - Date: 1501-1550 - Technique: Drawing ## Commentary Like all the murals by Holbein, the decoration of the "Zum Tanz" house was also destroyed, the building having been demolished in the 18th century. 17th-century sources indicate that the paintings were already in very bad condition then due to exposure to the weather. However, with the help of drawn copies, the decoration can be conclusively reconstructed.
