His first bronzes were executed in a very French, powerful Art Nouveau style; they were Parisian, too, in their subject, as this highly animated figure of Loïe Fuller demonstrates. Loïe Fuller \(1862-1928\) was one of the most celebrated dancers in Paris during the late 1890s and after.
