# Tomb of Gonzalo de Hinojosa [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [MEDIEVAL SCULPTOR, Spanish]() - Date: 1301-1350 - Technique: Stone ## Commentary Spain possesses a considerable number of sepulchral monuments from the first half of the fourteenth century. They illustrate the same tendencies as those of France. The dramatization of the monument was particularly popular, and there is a long series that includes a funeral procession as part of the decoration.
