## Commentary

In the patrician villa in the outskirts of Milan, the frescoes in all public rooms were executed by the Galliari family of painters consisting of a figure painter \(figurista\), a perspective painter \(quadraturista\) and a landscapist \(paessaggista\). The Galliari brothers were careful to sign their work, recommending themselves to other patrons. The picture shows the painted decoration with Fall of Phaethon.
