## Commentary

The Old Cathedral in Milazzo, Sicily was built in 1607 on a project attributed to Camillo Camilliani in a Mannerist style. It is located near the entrance of the citadel close to the Porta and Bastione di Santa Maria. The new construction conformed to the growing military needs.
