## Commentary

The scene in the upper register of the altar wall depicts Pope Honorius III confirming the Franciscan Rule. Among the contemporary portraits on the far right are the donor Francesco Sassetti and Lorenzo de&#39; Medici accompanied by a boy and an old man, in the background is a view of Florence with the Palazzo Vecchio and the Loggia de&#39; Lanzi.
