The Rats Tower c. 1840 Pen and brown ink on paper, 160 x 300 mm Private collection A drawing of the same subject, with variations, dated 27 September 1840, is in the Musée Victor Hugo in Paris. The drawing was done on his trip in the Rhine valley, from August 29 to November 2, 1840.
