## Commentary

In the Salon of the Rue des Moulins c. 1894 Pastel and chalk on paper on canvas, 111 x 132 cm Musée Toulouse-Lautrec, Albi Between 1892 and 1895, Lautrec produced innumerable studies, about fifty paintings and over one hundred drawings from the brothels. The present picture is one of the studies for his famous painting of the same subject.
