## Commentary

Dr. P.J. de Willebois with His Family at the Rhine in Germany 1820-23 Gouache on paper Private collection After his return from Paris in 1808, the painter lived with his large family in Den Bosch. He gave here drawing classes, his pupils including the doctor P.J. de Willebois whom he accompanied on trips abroad.
