## Commentary

The statue of St James the Greater by Niccolò di Piero Lamberti once occupied the tabernacle of the Guild of Furriers and Skinners \(L&#39;Arte de Vaiai e Pellicciai\) in a niche on the southern façade of Orsanmichele, but it is now housed in the Museum of Orsanmichele. The picture shows a the original statue in the museum.
