## Commentary

The picture shows St John with his attribution \(an eagle\) on the vault in the choir chapel of San Francesco, Arezzo. To his left a small image of God-the-Father holding the crucifix appears. At the bottom of the picture the praying angels can be seen, which were painted also by Bicci at the upper part at the window of the chapel.
