# Monument of Sixtus IV: Philosophy [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [POLLAIUOLO brothers]() - Date: 1451-1500 - Technique: Bronze ## Commentary This allegorical figure is one of the reliefs on the side of the Tomb of Sixtus IV. The animation of Pollaiuolo's figures and tension of the decoration evoke the style of his rival, Verrocchio.
