# Prophet Daniel and King David [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [ROMANESQUE GLASS PAINTER, German]() - Date: 1101-1150 - Technique: Stained glass window, 222 x 54 and 224 x 53 cm, respectively ## Commentary The oldest stained glass cycle of large format still located at its original site is found in the nave of Augsburg Cathedral. The series consists of frontal, dignified representations of the prophets Daniel, Hosea, and Jonas, the prophetic King David, and - in a late-medieval copy - Moses.
