## Commentary

Strozzi, a monk of the Capucines Order, was the most significant painter in Genova at the beginning of the 17th century. He was under the influence of Rubens due to Rubens&#39;s paintings to be seen in Genova. In 1631 he moved to Venice where he painted several religious and mythological paintings.
