# Two salts [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [LUTMA, Johannes the Elder]() - Date: 1601-1650 - Technique: Silver, parcel-gilt, height 24,2 cm ## Commentary These salts are from a series of four, the other two being in the Historisch Museum, Amsterdam. The triangular foot, which is entirely covered with auricular decoration, and the stem in the form of a human body, were both devised by Adam van Vianen, but despite this influence Lutma's salts have a very different look.
