# Chronicle of John of Worcester [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [MINIATURIST, English]() - Date: 1101-1150 - Technique: Manuscript \(MS 157\) ## Commentary John of Worcester \(died c. 1140\) was an English monk and chronicler. He is usually held to be the author of the chronicle entitled Chronicon ex chronicis. It is a world history which begins with the creation and ends in 1140. The Chronicon survives in five manuscripts, the principal copy is preserved in the Corpus Christi College, Cambridge.
