## Commentary

In 1889 Ferenczy returned to his family at Szentendre after a three years study tour in Paris. This lyrical painting was executed in Szentendre and it is one of the two paintings which were exhibited publicly at the 1889 Winter Salon of the Mûcsarnok, the first exhibition of his works.
