# Seal of Cardinal Ippolito d'Este [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [CELLINI, Benvenuto]() - Date: 1501-1550 - Technique: Lead, 11 x 8 cm ## Commentary Seal of Cardinal Ippolito d'Este c. 1540 Lead, 11 x 8 cm Musée des Beaux-Arts, Lyon Cardinal Ippolito d'Este commissioned a stamp from Benvenuto Cellini of which there is a positive version in lead in Lyon.
