# General view [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [BERNINI, Gian Lorenzo]() - Date: 1601-1650 - Technique: Photo ## Commentary Pope Clement IX commissioned Bernini to decorate Ponte Sant'Angelo, the crucial point on the Via Papalis.
